Community organizations with expertise in youth issues and programs are lining up behind an innovative new proposal to create 10 new youth drop-in spaces in Toronto in 2013. Community Recreation for All developed the proposal with St. Stephen’s Community House, and support from Jane/Finch Community and Family Centre, LAMP Community Health Centre and Unison Health and Community Services. The┬ánew youth spaces program has the capacity to serve 10,000 youth per year at the cost of less than a dollar a day per participant. The program has the potential to offer safe space, homework and job supports, recreation activities, access to adult mentors, skills building and much more. Please ask your Councillor to support 10 new youth drop-ins for 2013! 2013 youth spaces proposal
